Switching Keys.

I was wondering if it is possible to switch the key that you are playing in ex - f# minor to A# minor???

What about SubBass I have say my top bass and sfx. I just can't seem to place a correct spot for it.

Switching keys can work sometimes.. I think it worked well on this track, where there's a shift from Gm to A#Major on the breakdown.. it steers the track away from its generally dark feel to a much more uplifting, hopeful "mood"

If you look at the circle of fifths, A#Major is the equivalent major key for Gm...

Also, this popular dance track (and the simple minds track that it sampled) makes excellent use of a keychain to create this illusion that the track is constantly ascending (for lack of a better term)... I'm hoping to do that in one of my tracks one day..recreate that feeling:
