SUBSTATIC (FORMERLY SUBLINE) LIVE 6 PIECE HEAVYWEIGHT TRIP-HOP / BREAKS BAND
Taking influence from Bristol’s rich musical heritage whilst pushing their own unique sound firmly into the 21st century, Substatic are a band that holds true to what has come before them but more importantly knows what lies ahead. Fronted by the vibrant and sultry vocals of Colleen Quinn, Substatic have found inspiration from the far corners of the musical sphere. They root their sound between electro & hip-hop genres, taking elements of rock and dance music as well as injecting a heavy dose of classical and modern film-score, adding epic sweep and intensity to their arsenal of sound.
When Colleen and DJ/Producer Adam Gorsky met on a music production course in 2003, it was only a matter of time before they would collaborate on a project that would both satisfy their individual influences and become far greater than the sum of its parts. Soon after, Adam teamed up with producer/guitarist Steve Markovits and they began writing backing tracks for Colleen’s soulful melodies. Adding to this was film composer/engineer Alex Holmes, who introduced orchestral elements over the bass-heavy tracks, a sound which was to become their calling card. After a year of intense songwriting and studio time, a live project was in the offing. Enter Des Rogers, a Bristol drumming legend, giving the project that live electricity and Geoff Wright, a violinist whose lyrical playing style perfectly counter pointed the heavy synth backbone of the band.
PRESSPLAY (LIVE 4 PIECE EXPERIMENTAL SOUNDS)
Bristol band Pressplay, merging their classic Bristol trip hop sound with the ever growing catalogue of off the wall vocal snippets and instument tones that he had been collecting and cataloguing. Gigs all over the UK, including the Glastonbury Fesival and a main stage Ashton Court became regular and well received by a hugely wide range of people. Recording with Portishead’s Jim Barr followed and the band settled down to record their material in the studios they had built in the outer suberbs of Bristol earlier that year
+ SUPPORT FROM DJ TASK (PIRATES ANTHEM)
Pirates Anthem was started in 2007 by Bristol Dj / Producers Task & Bear. The label was originally started as an outlet for the mashup`s and booty`s Task & bear had made over the years. As time progressed Pirates Anthem expanded with two new members Justin Reverb (wraparound sounds) & DJ Cheeba (Detectives of Perspective & Solid Steel) which changed the dynamic of the label.
Pirates Anthem started remixing more and more Bristol artists and writing original material, it made sense to start both a physical and a digital label to get the Pirates sound out to the masses. Many Worldwide Ninjatune tours taught Task & bear that they can get away with almost anything in the right context and the label`s sound shows this in its diversity, while keeping the dance floor rocking.

ROB SMITH (SMITH & MIGHTY) DUB-WISE DRUM & BASS SET
IN-SESSION ARE PROUD TO PRESENT A DRUM & BASS SET FROM THE ONE & ONLY ROB SMITH Love Slayer Slayer a DJ, musician and remixer from Bristol, UK. He is currently on the Grand Central Records independent record label, playing breakbeat hip-hop, dub and reggae-influenced music. Rob was formerly a Drum & Bass/Jungle DJ, most notably alongside Ray Mighty and Peter D Rose in Smith & Mighty on the !K7 Records label. Smith and Rose also produced music under the moniker of More Rockers.
LOMAX (PHUNKFICTION RECORDS / SPEARHEAD / RUBIK RECORDS)
Lomax has had a string of releases on such labels as Spearhead, Rubik, Fokuz and DJ Marky's Innerground Records and many more!!...with his eclectic, bass-driven selection and technical skills on the decks, this promises to be a non-misser!!....Fresh from the turn-tables @ Run, Lomax is sure to smash it Slayer

Bristol legend and general music man Adrok is back at the In-Session stables for another heavy-weight dnb set!

Captain Crewz destroyed the dancefloor at the last event and as one of In-Sessions' main residents, we welcome him back for another set of exclusive dubs and double-drops a plenty
