Heavy beats and dark basslines- Sub:side brings you the finest in fresh and current drum & bass from the best DJs, producers and MCs in the game.

After recently welcoming names including S.P.Y, Rockwell, Need For Mirrors and Judda, we’re excited to round off what’s been a brilliant 2010 for drum & bass with another top notch lineup across the board. One of the breakthrough names of the last year, Kasra and his label Critical Music have pioneered some of the most forward-thinking and purely musical drum & bass beats seen for some time with a string of massive releases from artists such as Lenzman, Break, Cyantific as well as a huge album from Sabre all dropping straight into the record bags of top flight DJs this year alone. With an uncompromising ear for quality, Kasra has earned a reputation as one of the finest drum & bass DJs crafting sets that ooze with class from start to finish, yet with no let up in pace and guaranteed to keep the dancefloor moving throughout.

Anile is another man fast earning a huge reputation for himself. Respected by those in the know for some time for his eclectic productions which have seen him release on labels as far removed as Deep Soul Music and Renegade Hardware, his heavy live sets have pushed him right to the fore of the scene and ready to break through and gain the widespread attention his unique sound deserves. Meanwhile Stray is a name that is fast becoming synonymous with intelligent and sonically groundbreaking productions which can only be described as pioneering even to those outside of drum & bass. With massive releases on Critical, Hospital’s sister label Med School and Noisia’s experimental Invisible label Stray is recognised as one of drum & bass’ truly unique artists and it is with huge excitement that Sub:side anticipates his set at Gramaphone.

Another name which has been gaining pace for some time is that of Script releasing his heavy and dancefloor ready beats on Total Science’s label C.I.A. He’s joined for a very special back to back set by www.organicbeats.co.uk head honcho Alexander- a long time drum & bass soldier whose all encompassing knowledge of the genre from it’s roots to it’s current state make him both an experienced and unique DJ. Look for fresh beats being dropped in this one as the two men look to represent the sound of underground bass music of the future and beyond. As usual warm up duties come from resident In:Vision showcasing as ever some of the freshest and most exclusive cuts from his record bag, while getting the crowd hyped but not in the way of the music will be host Messy MC, recent winner of DNB Arena’s “Best Newcomer MC” award for 2010.

Rounding off 2010 in style and pushing drum & bass forward into 2011, this is a Christmas party you definitely don’t want to miss!
