Going WHP tonight and Sub Focus is headlining. Now I had not intention of actually bothering with WHP this year except for seeing the new venue. But my mate is slowly getting into DNB/Dubstep and likes Sub Focus, Chase & Status etc... So I said I would go with him.

Is Sub Focus (live) any good? As he is unfortunately clashing with DJ EZ and I know which one I'd rather watch but I feel tight ditching my mate.

I ended up watching Sub Focus as I didnt want to leave my mate on his own and he isn't a garage fan.

To be fair I'm glad I did, mainly because I pulled during his set but, I also enjoyed the music. It was a cheese fest however, I was too fucked to care by this time and loved it.

Anyone heard of some called Brenmar? I watched his set an he smashed it. Seemed like he was playing trap but I'm not sure?

can't go wrong with a bit of subby.

yeah pretty sure I've got a couple of tunes from him on my mac, just turned it off though and can't be arsed to turn it back on again to look... I'll have a butchers tomorrow though. if you want any songs/artists similar then I'll pm you some recommendations...

Saw Subfocus once when they were supporting Pendulums last tour - and to be honest he was a bit pap. However I'm not sure it was a "True DJ" set as he just seemed to mix up his latest album. The whole thing was just lacking that "get up and dance" factor to it though - the sound system seemed to be capped for some reason and there was just no atmosphere. Pendulum on the other hand blew me away, as did Chase & Status (Live Band version) when I saw them :)

saw his 'live' (fuck off, should be called sub focus b2b lights) thing at nass 2011, a set of just his tunes is of no interest to me as i don't really like his shit all that much, plus the system in the main tent was piss from what i remember.

didn't know he was only gonna be spinning his shit, thought it would be at least worth checking it out as he was headlining.
