Sub Bass help

Greetings everyone im new to this forum.

Im having trouble with making my sub sound good...I have been using massive for a while and just couldnt make a decent sub...no matter what.I did a quick pitch down at start of the note,tried to layer it with a kick...

Should i make sub with another vst?? Which one??

sinewave + hipass or sidechain your kick or use a different sample.. all that is to it really

high pass your massive bassline @ ~100hz, side chain it with the kick

add a synth with a pure sine wave and copy over your midi from the massive channel, sidechain with the kick

Compression, limiting, harmonic excitement, compression - should all help for weight.

Add in a bit of low passed square to your sine

Osc1 wavetable set to sine-sqaure turn wavetable knob to left. Pitch down 24 semitones add a lowpass 4 turn reso all the way down cutoff till you get rid of that sine sound and have pure sub. Profit?
