I'd say that you should stick your speakers somewhere slightly higher, about shoulder level when you're sitting down... helps a lot!

Will post up a pic soon

Can i just ask why do most of you have a dual monitor configuration? Is it purely because of the viewing space or is it because you monitor seperate promgrams at the same time?

    Thanks.

I like having a second monitor to use as a notepad while I'm working on stuff. It lets you have your sequencer or whatever on your main screen and then any other stuff (Wave editor, internet browser etc) on the other. The only constraint is desk space, especially if thats also where your speakers live. I recently just went back to my 22" flatty and got rid of the second monitor because it was fucking with my speakers postioning.

Saying that, my housemate runs 3 x 21" montiors in a row (he's not a producer but a software developer), and he swears he can't live without them now. I was a bit sceptical at first but I'm actually really missing the second screen to throw non urgent things onto now I don't have it.

    :cowbell:

That would be the obvious answer!!!

I thought that mainly but wondered if there were any other reasons. I'll dual screen my Mac when its delieverd. :devilslay:

I guess it just allows you to spread stuff out.

    Thanks:banana:

Two monitors is a godsend. On Ableton, it's nice to span the whole window across two monitors, makes arrangement easier for me. Using Reason is quite good as well - the effects rack on one screen and arrangement on the other. You would not regret doing it trust me, IMO dual monitors was as big an advantage to youme as having a good keyboard or midi controller.

    Do eet.

Shiiit that sounds wicked, I hate having to switch between the two... Unfortunately I don't have enough space on my desk for two monitors... :(
