Hi,

I'm kinda going round this the wrong way but I want to get as many Stevie Hyper sets on MP3 as possible. He is my fav MC of all time and I MC'ed with him back in 97 at Labrynth in East London and just can't get enough of his style. His style invented the modern MC.

I was wondering you guys could post links to sets of his.

try downloading them through soulseek -- here. that would be the easiest. don't forget to get that classic set of him with kenny ken out at an old syrous party in toronto.

When I used Soulseek it tried to connect me via a premium dialer at a cost of £1.50 p/m!!! Even on broadband that is far, far too expensive.

Any other options?

This site has had a 1 hr long Stevie set up for ages to download, ez even with my pissy modem. The site is down at the moment, but they've been around for ages so should be back up soon. This is the only Stevie set I have found that isnt thru file sharing actually.
Its on the audio page obv.

you're definitely using the hijacked version ... the link in my post sends you to the proper version of soulseek. i did a search for stevie hyper d last night and found over 20 sets in under 5 minutes.

that tape's ok, but hyper d's previous trip to toronto was with nicky blackmarket at a liquid adrenaline party! HOLY SHIT! now that's the tape to get.

i have a couple of hyper d mp3's (including my all time fav...ellis d b2b swan e w/ hyper d @ desire. TAPE!) that i could send you sometime. i am from toronto, so i have the blackmarket set i am speaking of already on mp3, and i have this kenny ken/hyper d tape (i believe it was a renegades party, not syrous) i can get online if one of my friends doesn't already have it accessible. either way, this thread is right - HYPER A RUN TINGS!

DrumAddic, I will have to contact you to get those mixes, I have about 5 tapes of Hyper-d and am sorting out tranferring them to MP3.

well, i can sort ya with something. i keep forgetting to upload for you guys at home. somebody drop me an e-mail, i can do it up than. it's easier when i have a reminder when i am on the computer with the sets. now i am reminded, but very far away from the sets. =O(
