static issues

i'm having some serious issues with static on one of my 1210's. anyone have any idea what could be causing it?

check that ur needles are in propaly.also check that ur grounds are in good aswell.if that doesnt help try changin ur plugs about.it could b a plug is loose????n e thing like that

yeah i would of said about the ground wires aswell.

the static is goes crazy when i put wax to plate and similarly when i take it off again and it just means that so much dust and crap sticks to the vinyl and i need to clean it every time i wanna play it.

the grounds are definatley fine to the mixer but can't really take off the bottom of the turntable to check there. i'll check verything is pluged in properly, sorry i don't want to alarm anyone but THE SITUATION IS QUITE SERIOUS. i'm worried for my needles.
