square/hollow bass?

now I know... not another noisia bass thread etc etc.

Anyone know the rough basics for this sound? square forms? with filter modulation resampled and frequencies split?

My attempts at anything close to this are generally very poor..... can anyone shed some light of what fx they generally put on the mid bus? for the highs I use the WOW filter usually with reverb and possibly a tiny touch of delay and possibly some distortion depending on the sound.....

Can anyone give me some tips on ahcieving something close to this sound?
 
by wow filter, do you mean a formant filter? cos im not sure i hear any of that. but it could be in there of course. now believe it or not, but our dirty bassline exchange features lots of discussion on this kind of sound but primarily two shit-old tutorials from dogsonacid.com which basically hold the key to the noisia bassline, or, massline as its called in the tutorial (im talking about the justin todd one specificially right now) and once you get the technique down its of course down to work work work to get the results you want and most importantly your own swag
