    Sportswear-your opinions for my project

I am currently working on a marketing re-branding project for fashion and wondered if you could assist me by giving me some opinions:

-Why do you wear sportswear? Do you wear it as a way of not following fashion? / Do you think sportswear is your fashion
-What's your favourite sportswear brand and why?
-Does what music you listen to affect what you wear?
-Do you conform to wear what your mates are wearing (I am doing conformity as an issue)

------Why do you choose the brand (Advertising?)

Any other comments regarding fashion, sportswear and music are very much appreciated, or even post some images :)

P.S Feel free to comment on other clothing brands which you wear

Thank you :) It will be good research to put towards my project

lol you assume everyone who listens to dnb wears nylon clothes?

too simplistic, everyone has their own style, i mainly go for skate/street wear, bench, addict, vans etc....

No I just thought this would be a good place to ask. My project is on fashion so anything fashion related goes here. Just my chosen brand to work on is a sportswear one so I want to get some source of information showing which brands are most popular (I know, Adidas Nike etc but I just wanted some reasons why you choose those brands)

More importantly is it because of their advertising?

I'm not focusing on dnb for my project but young people 17-25 + into music, fashion, sporting activites etc if that helps

Have to get a mention for New Era's in here www.neweracap.co.uk usually wear alot of this stuff, mainly because I get alot of it for free. Not many of my friends wear it but I know I can wear it in a rave which is always good. Comfortable as well.

I where sportswear all the the time, i don't look at brands so much, Adidas and Nike can be too expensive, Puma and Lonsdale are mid range, so i'll normally wear them, Diadora is just cheap and nasty imo.

I love wearing trackies, they're comfortable, keep my balls aired and just slip on and off for maximum ease.

Most ive ever spent on an item of sports wear, was a Puma hoody for £25 and the least was some Lonsdale trackies for bout £6

I dont listen to drum and bass i listen, to bassline and hip hop.

Sports World etc always have massive sales on. I buy them on price an if they look good, i dont notice advertising.

I don't really wear a huge amount of sportswear, but i like adidas jackets - mainly the adidas originals range, or the respect me range.
I also like nike trainers, the nike 6.0s are my favourites at the moment, or I like Nike iDs because you can make them how you want. (y)

My adidas jacket is the warmest coat available to buy in Guildford (I know because I tried them all) It's almost feels like i'm wearing a sleeping bag.

Definitely think the "originals" branding has increased their popularity over the last few years. It's got less of a sporty and more of a fashionable retro kind of look if you compare to their ordinary lines.

Addidas (old style Trefoil, none of that new shite), Fila, New Balance fave trainers (prol half my trainers are NB), but don't mind Puma and Reebok. Generally look at garm & price before brand, if I like it enough and can afford it I'll buy it. Genuinely think older (80's) style stuff looks better.

Don't like big logos or heavy branding, or gimmicky new materials / styling.

    Don't wear Nike.

For actual working out just unbranded cheap sweats / old stuff for that Rocky look (jokes), but really don't care long as it's clean.

Advertising got nowt to do with it.

Reebok Loin Cloth for when playing Kabaddi, it offers a snug fit and the performance that only a Professional Athlete would demand.

Don't really wear any sportswear out and about but i have Nike tacksuit bottoms for monging about at home.

When i'm out and about i wear G-Star, Lyle & Scott, All Saints, Evisu, Abercrombie, D&G, Armani, Lacoste, Addict & Superdry to name my favourites.

Trainers/bumpers/kicks i mostly own are Nike but i do own Evisu and Prada items as well.....and a few pair of Timberlands.

If it aint comfy i don't wear it, and i don't follow what mates have as i like to wear things that they don't.
