Any tips on how to create a dark spooky atmosphere for the intro of my track?
I would like to create a nice dark pad for the beginning but i just don't know what i should use for it or how to go about making something like that

Absynth will do the job very easily with lots of control. But things like Hypersonic2 or FM8 will do the job also, actually with every plugin this could be made. It's all in the oscillator setup and the ADSR envelope, slow attack, big release and your halfway.

if you have a nice sounding pad (or even a tone) already, you can make it darker with a bit dissonance. try layering it one semi-tone off or layer using micro-tunings (between semi-tone). or pitch bend the pad down and put more reverb on it.
