Can anyone recommend any decent active speakers for home use for under £100? Cheers
100? naah spend around 250 and you can get krk rocki 5's
I was kind of thinking 100 may have been a bit optimistic, will have a look at the ones you suggested. Cheers.
What about these? Would they be any good? - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ACTIVE-PA-SPE...Elec_SpeakersPASystems_RL?hash=item35a53408d5
they look pretty gash mate. Spend a little extra and you wont have to buy any for while
Think im gonna have to spend more then. I literally know nothing when it comes to speakers so thanks for your help mate.
may aswell save up n get something that will stand the test of time.. rather than shell out £100 every few months for replacements. id go through a pair of £100 monitors every month or so!
Best speakers for little money are logitech z-5500.... my friend have one and they are awesome.5x satelite speaker with one 10" long trown 188watt sub woofer with can go down to 32hz.They cost something around 100 but their power, freqency response and overall audio reproduction quality are far more better than anything under 300-350$ Dont buy any speaker set without subwoofer and by subwoofer I mean nothing smaller than 8".For that money you can buy best headphones on earth,Denon - HP-1000... they have 5hz(!!!)-33.000hz freqency response ( humans hear something around 20hz-20.000hz ) with extremly low harmonic distorion and high volume. Its becose they have one of the biggest drivers used in headphones,53mm neodymium ( very powerfull but lightweight magnet ) drivers. With their performance their are rival to headphones that cost thousand times more.
I was actually eying these the other day. There decent eh?
I can't really reccomend my Alesis M1 Active 520's highly enough to be honest. They've taken plenty of abuse from house parties, mates rinsing them etc and although they're sounding slightly worse for wear they're holding up really well still.
I got mine for £130 but they seem to have gone up a bit now, have a shop about.
Had these for 2 years now.
Still sound as crisp as when I first got them
They look good, price reduced by £100 aswell, i may well go for them.
Whatever you do dont buy them HTFR. Get them from RicherSounds as everything will be much cheaper.
I would recommend these
or I have these
But the speakers wont matter as much if you have a crappy mixer and amp.
^^ He's after active
