    http://www.techwatch.co.uk/2009/08/17/uk-rights-for-la-liga-still-up-for-grabs/

The TV rights for the Spanish premier league La Liga have still not found a home for the 2009/10 season.

It has always been Sky Sports that has shown the top football league from Spain on UK TV.

However, the contract expired at the end of the last season leaving the TV rights in limbo.

It is a surprise that no channel has stepped in to pick up these TV rights, considering the talent that has recently turned up to play for Spanish clubs, such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, along with other favourites too.

It has to be wondered if BSkyB is playing a tricky game, with other sports allowing broadcasters to bid for sports TV rights, but it seems that it will only be Sky Sports and new channel ESPN UK in with a chance of winning the TV rights.

    I agree, it's wank.

And why have sky sports bothered paying to host the SPL.

    It's a league devised for 4 games a season.

"man yoo" is only in dept because of the glazers! They have/had enough and dont need/do megatransfers like real.. Cant understand why the FA accepts investors that way.. United have earned all their money in the whole ferguson era and dont need to hide.
Its just the laws.. Investors can "buy" clubs and have no debt themselves, its only the club which gets in debt.. If the investor gets out, then the club will have have to fight with the dept..
