DJ SS is one of the most recognised Drum & Bass faces in the world. Having established one of the greatest record labels, Formation Records, DJ SS has played music in every corner of the globe. His World of Drum & Bass parties are held all over the world and he has helped to launch the careers of numerous artists including G Dub, Zen, Twisted Individual, Tango and Ratty, John B and many more. Respect is defiantly due!
Flight is fast becoming the leading lady of Drum & Bass. Flight’s weekly show on BBC 1Xtra has propelled her into the minds of many a dub-addicted, liquidised and head-nodding Drum & Bass fan. Having become part of the legendary Metalheadz roster, Flight landed a residency at Fabio’s Swerve club night. Expect no holds barred as Flight brings the flavour.
Sourpuss arrive at Soundscape to take over Room 2 (The Subway). With the strength of their club night, Nowt But Breaks firmly behind them, expect 3-deck scratch-heavy mash-ups of Breaks, Hip-Hop and Dub Step. Sourpuss member Chris Munky has recently been enjoying success under his alias Unbalanced Jack. Having signed to Broke Recordings, the first single Kickin Rhyme Steady was released to high acclaim this year.
With Manchester’s number one female Drum & Bass DJ (Tay), the head honcho of Metropolis (Prophecy), the awarding winning MC Skeez (Best Breakthrough MC 2007), bass heavy beats and breaks from DJ Prime and Meganesh and support from residents DJ Deval and MC Suddz, Soundscape rolls into the summer.
