2nd Press Release... finer details :)

PRESS RELEASE for immediate release 5th March 2007

Soundscape - Friday 23rd March 2007 - Jabez Clegg (Manchester)

With less than 3 weeks before the launch night of Soundscape, the word on the street is spreading. It is about time that questions were answered. Soundscape is intent on delivering 100% quality. All artists have been informed that there are strict guidelines. All acts must endeavour to educate the new-comers, please the regulars and offer a glimpse of the breakbeat future to all. Anyone who can’t commit will not perform. Right, lecture over.

Known as the leading figure of Drum & Bass on BBC 1Xtra, L Double’s career began whilst touring with the European scratch champion, DJ Trix. In the '90s he worked with cult music group, Unique 3, earning him three UK top 30 hits. L Double set up Flex Records to enable him to focus on what he believes in - music for the underground. Artificial Intelligence are without a doubt one of the most creative musical duos within the underground dance music scene. Having released on nearly every major Drum & Bass label, they can also be credited for remixing the work of Kelis, Eric Prydz and Fat Freddy’s Drop. Want filthy, speaker blowing basslines? Well, turn to none other than DJ Vapour. Already snapped up by Goldie as part of the Metalheadz camp and with releases on 31 Records, Intasound, Basement and EastSides to name but a few, Vapour takes no prisoners! Sappo has flown the Manchester flag for Drum & Bass music since… well… day one. Respected by every member of the dance music scene, in the UK and abroad, Sappo’s goals have never wavered. Sappo joins us at Soundscape to present his new project “Mixtape Impossible”. Chris Tanker and Lomas are invited to take over Room 2 for the whole 5 hours. Chris’s flagship night, No Signal, has caused a storm within the House and Electro scene in Manchester. With guests such as King Roc, Deepgroove and Oliver Huntemann, Chris Tanker and Lomas have stated that failure is not an option.

With both rooms (Cityscape and The Subway) being uniquely designed by Manchester based Designbyname, expect the unexpected. All registered members of the event will also be put into a draw each month to win a unique piece of the night. Not sure what we mean? Come along and see for yourself.
