If something is heavily eq'ed by a something other than linear eq qouldn't there be phase issues after a while? So then wouldn't a sonic maximizer correct these problems?
I've noticed the sonic maximizer can exaggerate effects before it a bit, so I put it before hardware that I'm proud of but I do wonder if I should get the software version to fix things that have been resampled often
