I did this journal last year, where I started making a tune and wrote a blog post about it after each session. With soundcloud clips, images and whatnot. Most people here might remember it but it's been a long time since my last visit here - must be a lot of new people on here - and my website domain has changed so here's a list of the chapters 
Bit of a spam, but I got a lot of good feedback on the journal back then, so I thought it deserved a bump. Chapter 8 has a link to the tune. It's a free DL on my soundcloud. Each clip in there is also downloadable if you want to resample or something.
