Still getting my head around battery 3 and how to make decent beats. The D bit in DnB really isn't my area...

I'm just hoping for some inspiration and to prove that it is possible to get a good sounding DnB type drum track with B3. If no-one posts any good ones I might end up changing drum synth... coz I'm getting impatient with Battery.

    Thanks.

I'm using the drums in the battery 3 synth library. Using cubase 4's drum editting sequencer, which is okay. But the drum sounds in B3 never quite sound top notch.

just build ur sample collection up init

start seeing what sample packs u can get

if you want to try and make the most of the samples you already have, u can bend them a bit more into shape by EQing them and shortening the length of them to make them a bit more snappy or something?

So this is about as good as I've got beat wise: http://stashbox.org/590147/DrumsL.mp3

Just doesn't quite have the same kick to it as most pro drum beats. Got some lovely melodies to go with the beats; just cant get the beats sounding banging.

    what?

i cant even hear a snare. you should defo listen to more dnb and get to know how a beat is build, before you even start synthesizing your own drum hits. lol!
