Is this some kind of threat. 2 years ago on my birthday somebody left a big marrow on my doorstep. Then nothing for 2 years, and now 5 in 2 weeks. Really dont know what to make of it. Anyone know of any significant meanings to such behaviour. Do Muslims put Marrows on peoples doorsteps after Ramadan?

its an old romani tradition called 'sugar feast'. you leave a total of 9 marrows on your enemys doorstep and then you jokingly cut off his nose.

It's the sign of the veg plotting their revenge. Just like the horse-head scene in Godfather.

Or perhaps it's a loved one trying to keep you on the straight and marrow

do you have a cat? they like to leave things they've hunted and killed on doorsteps as presents.

Check 'em for bones, if they keep appearing in more abundant numbers, you could make a killing extracting them & selling them to your local Butcher.

    What colour are they?

I had a Yellow Marrow last week, I don't usually like them, but this one was sweeter than your average Green Marrow...

you couldnt possibly mean that. i know youre from an army family background (father was a genral or something to that effect seamus?) but surely the old genral would enjoy his prawns or similar at times? and most surely make you finish your plate too, unless you want that backhand that had been known to materialze out of thin air in the genrals later years, seems he lost his temper quite frequently. fair but tough they called him, and in his later age, just tough. and quite savage im told. anyway he cant hurt you now seamus. never again.

The General was always right though. You cant really argue with a leader of men. But I aint eating cuttlefish for any man, I dont care what his rank is.
