I agree with them too, but then again is the Beatport top 10 even credible? :teeth:

On the subject of Sigma being repetitive, I'm pretty sure that on their album there were two songs with the EXACT chord progression, drums and structure, the only difference being a different vocalist. So yeah, not the best people to talk about repetition. :teeth:

Sigma are the biggest joke in the scene.

    poor boys.

Personally I find neuro bit boring nowadays too, it is very festival, it became a techy/neurojumpup.
I don't say it is good or bad, it is different, and I am jus bit bored with the way how most of the djs play it (very monotonously).

Anyway, you already said everything what should be said about Sigma and their diversity :)

Tbf. when if I look into todays top 10 then it's not all that bad. Granted it's not a secret that beatport has been dominated by neuro in the last few years but that says more about the people that buy music on Beatport than about diversity of the scene. It's a very shortsighted statement. As well it's only a month in into the new year, most labels are only just coming in now with their release schedule. Lastly labels like Exit or Hospital do generate sales over their own stores so Beatport is not a benchmark at all.

Maybe Joe is disappointed that their album is not in the releases chart anymore aka. has no shelflife. Maybe Joe should be thinking outside of the box instead of doing a "Chase & Status" and bring in some new ideas.

Yes he's contradictory as Sigma do the same, but he's right.

Tech or as it's now known "Neuro" has turned into pants, soulless, funkless noise.

    I particularly enjoyed the statement:
Do something different. Don't just follow the crowd.
