So i've not been online for about a week, and the reason?
I've been living in one of the biggest cities in China for a little over a year, Spring Festival (chinese new year) is upon us and I've got three weeks holiday. So I decided to go to Yangshuo in Guanxi Province.

I'm in an internet bar in Guilin right now, when I get back to Nanjing I'll post my own photos up.
I'm literally in the middle of nowhere, loads of peaks and rivers.

Cities are for pussies, middle of nowhere is where its at :teeth:

Yeah, the red good luck packets with money in them. Its normally the older generation giving to the younger, I've got some last year from my girlfriend's parents.

Speaking of which, its the eve of Chun Jie today, tomorrow is chinese new year's day and the start of Spring Festival, so there's gonna be lots of fireworks, liondancing, and other vorius celebrations. I'll keep you posted (y)

Da jia, gong xi fa cai!

@Alba - Wait until I post the pictures that I took, you'll soon change your mind!
However there are lots of places that are as you described, but the sheer size of china (nearly 18 times bigger than france o_O ) means that this is small compared with the amount of mindblowing scenery there is.

@DjEffect - No probs mate, if I get to see any of the liondancing, I will snap it and put it up with the rest of the pics (y)
