    i remember skimlinks for a while but i cant see any anymore

    green doesnt make you see imaginary links afaik

    its skimlinks, adds links to ebay and amazon for popular things and means the forum gets a bit of money

    if it annoys you that much get Adblock Plus (for firefox, chrome, opera but not Internet Explorer)

    A couple of forums ive been members of in the past have had a VIP kind of thing. Donate (or pay like £2 a month) and you get access to more/special sections of the forum, special coloured name to show your a helpful bastard etc.

    Might be worth looking into.
