i'm looking for a snare sound i think somethink between rimshot / sidestick and a normal snare

for example the snare in this song

what would be your idea get your snare sounding that way ?

You can try layering a few rim shots as well as a full body snare.
Experiment. See what sounds good.

this free pack contains some good hits, plus lots of different style hits of the same snare, kick, hats etc.

But what you can do is layer a rimshot/sidestick onto a normal snare.

pitched up snares from breaks work quite well

BHK neuro funk breaks have snares similar to that, but they in drum loop. However easy to chop out. Also june miller dark dnb have snares like that.

just zoom in a lot so you can adjust the timings finely, adjust envelopes for each sample and EQ to blend?
