Hey guys. I was just wondering what kind of different techniques you use for cuting up breaks. I usually just cut them by hand in Goldwave. Works well but maybe there's a better way...
:D

Sometimes i use a freeware called "Amen", i think if you search on google, you could find it easyly.

My electribe es1 which slice correctly beats.

PS: Excuse for my bad english

I was chatting to someone bout this freeware earlier - Amen 1b is the version i got. very effective for slicing an dicing ;)

I just chop them up by hand in Soundforge and create a useable drum kit from all the hits....
Do a bit of processing to tidy up the individual hits and you're away.

Personally i'm not too keen on re-cycle...i like to create breaks how i want them to sound and not have something based on a pre-determined rex/groove template.....where's the fun in that?
