hi guys... attempted to use a sidechain (compressor) on a bassline that was triggered by the kick track... but when i adjusted the parameters to cut the bass's volume to give the kick more pressence... there was an audiable click and it sounded shit!

only way to beat this click was to have the wet/dry so low that it was pointless!

    help please! cheers :D

click from the bassline or the kick??

either way, adjust the attack and release of the compressor until it fades away would be my guess, and use the onboard Eq to pick up just the low kick frequencies, hmm, its hard for me to help unless im actually their fucking with the knobs lol. theres some short video clips put on from ableton on how to sidechain that make it almost too easy, try them, the settings they use can pretty much be used on all your shit just adjust attack and release, sorry if none of this makes sense or helps in any way : D
