Ive been using the Ableton compressor for this, but i don't real like i have a whole lot of control, especially in the low end when compressing the sub to the kick.

Has anyone had this problem and what are you using now for ducking the sub? Im almost ready to go in and volume automate every sub clip!!!!!

Well that would be a waste of time. use a seperate sample to control the ducking, which you can control the length of to change the behaviour. generally a very shortened kcik sample works.
