Hi,

I've being getting back into DNB again lately and have noticed a trend when listening to mixes, I'm seeing more sets that include a large number of tracks using short mixes.
I've always been a fan of longer mixes as I like to hear tracks compliment each other, I also find them more fun to play. There obviously times when shorter mixes do make sense, but I'm not sure about doing this for the entire set.

Is the trend to chop up lots of tracks in a set these days, or is it mainly down to the DJ?

Down to the DJ and down to the style man.

I mean if I go for a rowdy mix I tend to jump on 3 decks and blast tunes in. But if im on a nice liquid hype i'll stick to 2 usually and try blend it out and work on some nice switches.
