I need a program that recognizes dnb tunes.

I tried shazam the other day, and it barely recognizes any drum and bass tunes.
Everyone else said Shazam is amazing for recognizing songs, but from my experience it sucked (at least for dnb).

    Anyone else have that feeling?

Anyone know a good program that recognizes dnb songs when you play them?

    Cheers!

Shazam recognises the more popular ones, I had an unmarked test press at home and it told me it was total science/spy which was pretty impressive... don't know of any for drum and bass - not sure if the more underground songs aren't really worthy of a program...

That's the beauty of an underground scene, you have to be a bit more proactive about things. But when your search has proved successful...:D

Funnily enough though, I've got a mate who uses that shazam thing and he's found old jungle tunes/older d&b tunes.

What kind of sets are u testing it on?

i think its down to PRS, if the song's registered with PRS then Shazam will recognise it...

ya, im a big fan of the tune id section aswell! ive been asking for track ids and also trying to help people identify tracks. i enjoy it and thats what made me join dnbforum in the first place.

now that i think about it, it is much more fun asking for tune ids in the forum. you easily engage in conversations, wheras its quite difficult to talk about new releases with the shazam app :)

thanks mates! you really gave me a new perspective on the whole issue

    Cheers!
