I'm fairly new to this DNB.. only recently started to get into it after wandering through the tents at H.T.I.D n places... i prefer the commercial stuff.

I think it goes by the name of Liquid... stuff like high contrast, sub focus time warp, pedulum tarantula..

can anyone point me in the right direction for this sort of stuff?

i recently heard that MOS addicted to bass, and the first half of CD1 was quality..

i know the commercial stuff doesnt always go down too well with the tru dnb heads.. but can anyone help? i'm not too familiar with names(y)

Why always go for main dj's. Try lesser known names too. You'll soon realise who you like and dislike, there's so much to choose from nowadays and there's also so many mixes online your spoilt for choice.

Just download a few from the mixes section. If you don't like them delete em and try again.

my m8 is getting into DnB - i gave him my zinc - watch the ride album and then took him to the awards.

if u can get ur hands on it that album should suite ur taste, also has a couple of harder tracks in there to expand your horizons :P

Dj Hype' new drum and bass essentials mix is out on Monday mate. Will be well worth picking up.

Pendulum & Subfocus dont quite roll into the liquid much, but they do big vocal slammers.
Try:
Danny Bird, Logistics, the whole London Electricity stuff, future sound of cambridge ect could be right up your street,

if your willing to dig a little below the surface, check out Naibu, Quemulus, stuff on Good Looking recs, Hospitality recs
Calibre, Commix, some Camo & krooked, Wickerman

:)

:)

You would probably like (as OCR said) Blame's Essential Mix,

I'd definatley download Netsky's February mix, I've been hooked on that since.. well February.

London Elektricity has a regular podcast on iTunes which is free which I would also recommend.

Arists I would say to look for (if you just getting into Liquid) would maybe be Logistics, Brookes Brothers, High Contrast, Lomax, Sigma, London Elektricity... the list goes on.

I hope this helps you and hopefully in a few months time you'll be able to lend your knowledge to somebody else who's new :)

Why always go for main dj's. Try lesser known names too.

Thats exactly why i am asking mate, i dont even know many big names nevermind lesser known. :)

like wtf
mate are u on about :rinsed:

At what point did i give u the impression i did know what i was talkin about? pratt

...... thanks to everyone else for the advice and sets, i've downloaded them all and will give them a listen and leave feedback to the member posted mixes.

I went to Turbulence @ Digital, Newcastle last month and Sub Focus was definitely the best set of the night for me.

like wtf
mate are u on about :rinsed:

i think he is refering to him being at some event, and he was wandering through the Hardcore Till I Die tents.where he stumbled accros the dnb tent. HTID are often with one nation etc at these events.

n also, just check out the mix section this forums. theres a wealth of sets on there mate!
