I have this old EMU sampler, E4X that hasn't seen much use lately. When I fired it up after a long while and resetting the studio (and relocating), the data wheel seems to be fucked. When turned CW (increase parameter) it goes up for a while, but suddenly drops back to minimum. Anyone have any idea if it's even changeable?

You need to show your emu who is the boss. That will fix your problems.

might just need some lube mate, giggity.

Go down to a hardware store and get some switch lubricant, open her up, knock the dust off and get spraying. Not too much tho, this isnt a porn shoot.

whoa,

1. really positively surprised you actually got a real answer
2. havent plugged mine in for about a year, dread to think what its going to be like now, thats still my baby and if theres anything wrong with it, ill die.

So how many people here have an E-MU sampler? I have an ESI-2000. While it's not as high end as the E4, it still has those great Z-plane filters.
