Hello there! :D

As the title says, I'm in need to buy an audio interface to use serato scratch live with a laptop and a mixer.

My brother (who's serato's I inherited) used the Maya44 which seems pretty cheap and (used these live at my first gigs) didn't give 100% reliability when playing.

So any of you use serato and with which interfaces? Have you ever tried any other audio interfaces?

PS: I've been searching on google and on this forum, but everything I come across is comparisons between mixvibes, torq, serato, traktor... etc. I must be some kind of noobish "dj googler"

Cheers and thanks for your time and experience on this topic!! ^___^

ugh... wrong forum? lol

I use SL1, didn't know you could use non-serato made interfaces

Wrong forum? I thought to post it where all the DJs are, wouldn't it be here where everyone post their dj-mixes? Point me out if so! thanks! :)

And well, Rane SL2 goes a bit out of my budget (500€) but still is the best contestant, right?

I'm confused. When you say audio interface, what do you mean?

I thought you'd have to use a serato one to use serato. I'd just pay for it or try and get it on finance. There's a reason they are that price

As I said above, my brother has been using an external audio interface Maya44 for ages and it worked well for him.

I don't want to "waste" money since the reason I'm going to use this is just for 1 gig. and to have my back covered in the future.
Maybe I won't use it anymore after this 1 gig. :/

Yeah that's what I meant too, isn't that middle one a serato one?

Riiiight I'm with you now. I don't think this is what you're after if you're going to be using a laptop (and a mixer?!) I can only speak for serato as I don't know the others, but you need inputs to go into the box, eg. turntables. Would you not be better off with a controller?

Sorry for not stating in the original post:
I have:
-Turntables
-Timecode vinyls
-Mixer
-All kind of wires/cables/inputs/outputs

Only thing I need is the audio interface but don't want to spend 500€ for just once, when the gig I need it for are paying me less than that. (It's not a dnb gig tho)
