Searching for this sound

    Hey guys,
    I found a sound I'm in love with, and I don't know, how to recreate it.
    Is it a synth or an instrument.

    It starts at 0:42 (fantastic Track by the way)


    Found something similar in an Amon Tobin Track starting at 1:23

    Sounds like a sample from some eastern instrument to me, not synth.

    Exactly what kama said, sounds like they detuned a sitar and added some crazy effects to it, in the Amon Tobin one. The 16 bit one sounds like a blatent sample, if I found out where they got it from I'll let you know. But check out some sitar videos/tunes is that what sort of sound you want?
