Say I wanted to record a sample from a film?

it makes me laugh when people go on about the quality of samples etc, i've recorded bare samples off youtube and nobody has ever commented on the quality of them. most samples are layered with all kinds of other shit so quality is certainly not a problem tbh

I'm with you on this one, I do the same with my tracks.. It's like DJ Hazard. For his Machete Bass EP he got all the samples for Machete, Killers, and Cowards off of youtube.

people using Reaper as a DAW, u can just drop the video file if u have it into the sequencer and it'l open it on a new channel, u can cut it n shit the same as any audio, i'm pretty sure reaper can also export to a video file, so i recon it will start gettin used in some 'homevideo' projects soon aswell as music production.

download audacity, set the input to pick up what it hears, pop a dvd into your computer and hit record and audacity will record the audio from the film internally.. proper quality and no messing about.
