Slammin' Vinyl's Sanctuary Outdoor is back for 2010 after a well-earned break in 2009. The time out has given us a chance to come back brighter with new ideas for our show-piece summer date, a fresh take on the Sanctuary concept, and perhaps most importantly of all, a new venue.

What you need to know is this...

Sanctuary Outdoor is the only full-on rave festival in the calendar. The only event that puts the music you love on centre stage for a whole 3 days and nights, not a token effort, not an afterthought... your music is our Headliner.

The date for Sanctuary Outdoor is 27th - 30th August - the August Bank Holiday. We did initially pencil in the date for mid July, but then we thought that a special event like Sanctuary Outdoor deserves a special date - like a Bank Holiday. So we're using that to its full potential and going for the full 3 days - the party starts on Friday afternoon but doesn’t stop at 6am on Sunday morning, Sanctuary Outdoor continues throughout Sunday, so for the first time ever, we’ve made a proper weekend of it. And because it's a Bank Holiday you don't have to book any time off work on the Monday, and you have until the Tuesday to get over what will be a memorable weekend!

The new venue is the brilliant Catton Hall Estate - the grounds of one of England's finest stately homes. Catton Hall is slightly north-east of Birmingham, just off the A38 with the nearest motorways being the M1, M42 and M6. Set in rural Derbyshire, flanked by the river Trent to the West and in the midst of mile upon square mile of green field, Catton Hall is short on neighbours... and you know what that means? There are no residents within earshot of the site, so we'll be able to deliver the sound quality you'd expect from Sanctuary Outdoor.

So what else is different from the last Sanctuary? Well, Sanctuary Outdoor runs for 3 days starting on the Friday afternoon, and if you're camping you don't have to leave until the Monday. As well as all the music arenas and the open air outdoor Main Stage, there will be fairground rides, extensive hot food stands and bars, entertainment and all sorts of off-the-cuff silliness to keep you occupied. So Sanctuary Outdoor is a unique, full on festival weekend with the lowest ticket price of any comparable event.

The full line up will be announced later in March, but for now we can tell you that there will be 16 music arenas across the 3 days that will see over 150 artists at the absolute pinnacle of their game totally ripping up the weekend. Expect cutting edge Drum & Bass, massive Hardcore anthems, the toughest Hardstyle from the UK and Europe, fierce Dubstep plus only the best in Hardcore Techno, Trance, Old Skool, Bounce and Hard House. To do all that justice we'll be implementing the awe-inspiring production that you’ve come to expect from a Slammin’ event and the team that brings you the nation’s biggest rave events such as Westfest, Tranz-mission & NYE NEC.

Sanctuary Outdoor - Two years in the making, 24 months of planning, preparation, design and ideas distilled into 3 days to produce a concentrated shot of pure festival perfection.
