sampling vocals in fruity loops 8

i want to cut a couple of small vocals from a set iv got maybe max 3 seconds long each to use in a tune im working on,

how do i do it?

excuse the ignorance but I have never done it before.

Goldwave does a decent job also.

you can cut it in edison. load the full mp3/wav in sample in FL, right click the waveform (the visual representation of the sample) and use the bar along the bottom to zoom, select what you dont want (so its red) cut the section away and your left with the sample you want. use the arrow icon in the top right and drap the sample from edison into a free sampler in FL browser, kapow!
