Sampling music

Ive recently got into producing and the style i want is liquid soul jazz dnb, Had some advice to sample old 70s tracks, Whats the best program to sample with? Adobe auditon, ...cool edit pro.. Plus i need some help with how to sample, like if i wanted a part without the drums or vocals?
 
any wave editor is fine, i use sound forge but any will do

audacity is a really good free one

you cant remove parts from the sample, you need to find clean solo bits to sample
 
im also a soundforge man but ive used audacity and its great for free
also got bout 400 old jazz albums on wax and its the way to go
gotta be clean as stated

Sound forge is best i rekon, i use cool edit though, but thats just cos im used to it! They pretty much the same tbh
