In many drum and bass tracks there is a high pitched sound I've always thought of as a 'squeak' as part of the drum loop. I've had some trouble finding examples of this when actually looking for it but I finally found one today:
    https://soundcloud.com/h-x-6/netsky-drumloop-1

It appears once, after the first three hits, in every bar. It sounds like "eh-eh" in a high pitch.

Does anyone know if this sample has a name? Where does it come from? Who first used it? Where can I find a sample of this without any drum transients on it (which I would get if I were to just cut it from this loop)?

    Thanks for taking the time!
