There's a very backwards notion that commercial dnb (or commercial music in general for that matter) has to be shite, musically. It doesnt. Anyone churning out watered down generic namby pamby bollocks should expect to get called out for it, no matter how much dough they're raking in.

maybe it's far too easy for me to say in my current situation.... but given the choice of scraping a living making music i like making, or making a shit-tonne of cash making music i couldn't give a toss about, i'd choose to make music i like making every time.... even if it does mean having to keep a shitty day-job.

but circumstances may change in the future and my mind may change. but as it stands, i really couldn't give two fucks about money.
