Rockwell - Everything (& U) [lartsekrad001AA] *fap warning*

Hybris, Heavy1, Khanage's - Original Sentiment & Dakosa's – ‘So Long’ (V.I.P) have a similar style to Rockwell's imo

Rockwell is pretty unique with his beats. When I first heard The Cleaner I was 100% sure it was something by Rockwell. Hybris is the only one that really came near of what Rockwell did.

now there's a lot of producers coming up with these kinda drums:

Alot more of forthcomming Dub Phizix and Stray's (Fireball) sound got that minimal but fast & rolling drums.

Rockwell is sick but his style could get boring really quickly after a while i reckon. Anyone agree?

DJ Friendly Unit Shifter is murder though

I prefer hybris to rockwell, hybris is just more militant and aggressive with his beats

I have to agree partly as some of rockwell's bit are pretty aggressive/dark too:

That's basically why I think I will not get tired of Rockwell as he got everything covered. But in all honesty I'm not as much exited about Rockwell as I was 1 year ago.

Yeah but in a different way. Like Rockwell aggressive is stompy, but Hybris is all rolly. And imo Bone Structure isn't that hard, but one of rockwells best

That first EP on Critical, and to an extent the EP on Soundboy, both were really lacking in the bass department. However, he's recently solved this problem with tracks like Unit Shifter and My War, so can't complain.

Yeah man no problem. If you're talking about older stuff then a lot of the old Ed Rush/Doc Scott/Photek/Blu Mar Ten stuff has a real similar vibe to the glitchy/weird percussion minimal stuff that's about now. Couple of tunes off the top of my head:

You can see what I mean when I say things have gone full circle :) a lot of producers (Rockwell included) clearly have been influenced by this sound.

If you're talking about newer producers with a similar sound, check out Stray, ASC, June Miller, Spinline, Data... Sabre obviously as well. All sick with their percussion.

Wanted it for the a side, but find myself playing this side more. Small shame it plays at 33 rpm & could have fit the tunes on at 45 rpm
