Our oldest dog passed away this morning at 07:30, she was pretty ill with various things. It was good for her to go naturally instead of being laid to rest at the local vet.

It's pretty hard for me considering she's been with me half of my life. Any way, I just thought I'd share it with you lot because it's never nice when this happens and I think she deserves to be recognised.

Thank you in advance for any kind comments.

    RIP Pen :lighter:

Stu, thats a very hard thing, my condolences to you.
Its amazing how much dogs impact our lives; i havent been able to live with one since I left Perth (no room), and its hard to not have a dog around. They're pretty special, and i'm sure Penny was too.

    :(

    Thanks guys! (y) :)

I know exactly what you two mean, I feel a lot better now than I did this earlier morning. We still have our other dog Mattie, he's only 3 years old and he's quite the character :teeth:

Oh man it must be hard for you. Losing a dog after so much years. An animal you loved (or better still love) so much.

    RIP Penny

I have 2 dogs,I know how loved pets are. Just as much as people.

At least she had a good life with a loving family. Many animals don't get that, she was one of the lucky ones.

When ever we loose a dog,we go straight out to the animal resue centre and get another,I see it as one beloved pet making way for another to have a good life.
