personally i don't really have much sympathy for someone who spreads the message to millions of people it's better to die of AIDS than use condoms (n)

    hmm interesting

funny he didn't speak out against child abuse though, maybe it was because the Vatican were too busy covering up abuse by Catholic priests

I'm not a religious person at all.

However, RIP to The Pope. He did some great things in his life, i.e. get rid of Eastern European Communism (which I'm sure we could ALL do without), and was an inspiration to many worldwide. Beliefs are not an issue here, he was a great man.

the pope wasnt about religion, but about faith. The fact that he took guidance by god's "true" words, is something one can disregard.
Dont forget, the Pope was the one to say that the Bush Blair war is against god's will, and history and god himself will judge their actions harsly.
    :word:

    RIP

The population in the world with the greatest incidence of increasing HIV infection are heterosexual women in Africa.

People might pay respect to the pope if his followers weren't such ignorant bigots. Keep your homophobic shit outta here.

    And its 'John Paul'.

The pope = satan himself in a human body?

Probably not but he certainly wasn't a good guy. The catholic religion as a whole has been against progress and science since its conception and I don't support that sort of stuff. If it wasn't for massive organized religions like this we might be more evolved and further along then we are now. I have more respect for religious figures like the dolly lama(sp) who actually blessed a rave once.

Hopefully the next pope will be more human. The next one should allow priests to marry so they don't have gay sex with boys in the confessionals, they should allow women priests, they should "de-sin-ize" normal human activities like masterbation, and they should marry gay couples. Maybe when these things happen I won't find myself so offended by this organized religion.

    1992 and mesh, respect.

The pope was a vile old bastard. This is my opinion, nothing to do with his religious background. Just his beliefs.

And as for gay people being the ones who spread aids,me thinks that stanks of homophobia,as it is a very untrue comment.

unless of course you'd like to back it up with some official stats instinct.

you have your views on the pope, i have mine on life. you may think its a better world without him, i think the world would be a much better place without homosexuals.
sorry if i offend. but thats my view!

but thats ok, if my views are wrong, its in gods hands. let him punish me.

Fair play to you for sticking to your views, you can't knock that. I may dissagree (especially about the poofs,my brothers gay,and he's perfectly normal.) But you are entitled to your opinion.

I suppose my reasons for disliking the pope so much is probably been drummed into me from an early age,by my parents who are both very anti religion, plus everyone I know who are also against organised sects.

But I shall morn the death of the pope as much as i morn the death of other people i don't know. Which isn't very much really.

Anyway, God, if he/she/it exists, won't punnish you for your views, cos he forgives all innit :D
