“I mean, what are they gonna say about him, when he’s gone, huh? What are they gonna say? Are they gonna say “he was a kind man”? “He was a wise man”? “He had plans”; “He had wisdom”? Bullshit, man! What are they gonna do when he’s gone? … Am I gonna set them straight, NO…”

didn't really know about him til I saw this post, obviously had seen Apocalypse Now but had no idea about this guy.

What a legend - Acted in 202 movies, Directed 8, Wrote 4, Produced 3, Edited 1, recieved special thanks for 14 and made 205 "self-made" films and documentaries. "Prolific" painter, photographer, sculptor and poet. Married 5 times with 4 kids. Also did the narration on the Gorrliaz track "Fire Coming Out of the Monekys Head"

Most people probably already know this, but I'm just quite amazed at how much stuff I already knew about this guy without knowing it was him. RIP :lighter:

If you think about it you dont get actors of this calibre in many of the later generations.

I mean can anyone think of an actor in his 30's or something that could rival Clint Eastwood, Robert DeNiro, Michael Caine, etc...

The Greats are all popping off and weve got fuck all to replace them with.

The scene with him and Christopher Walken in True Romance is one of my all time favourites.
