After successful EP “Serbian Bassline” RIOT 87 decided to share with their fans some of the remixes they did in last couple of months. Some of them they did for remix contests and some of them for free.
With these 2 drum’n’bass remixes RIOT 87 participated on remix contests on Indaba Music. On “Metric remix contest” they won 1st place by public votes but on final voting by band Metric they won the 2nd place and honorable mention. The remix made a huge success on Hype Machine charts, it finished on the 3rd place in the first week we released it online.
On “Escape The Fate remix contest” they won 1st place as a grand prize winner since Interscope Records band Escape The Fate picked RIOT 87 remix as the best one.
On this EP RIOT 87 wanted to show that they are not purely dubstep band, that we also make drum’n’bass and breakbeat music, mixing all genres of music with their unique style. Guitars and synths are important part of their music since they are playing it LIVE, bringing RIOT 87 LIVE SHOW closer to concert performance then to simple dj set.
