yea bransons always been pro-cro, you always see him at the rallys n stuff with all the other high profile celebs who bun the herb... i really do doubt it will ever change, which is a horrible thought but true.

There's a petition going round atm and if it reaches like 100,000 signatures then it will be passed through house of commons for debate. However, its currently only on 17,000 lol! If only weed didnt create stoned forgetful lazy people we may actually have a chance of hitting the 100k.

wonder how many people regularly bun in the uk...id say atleast 1/12 conservatively...thats like 5million people o_O

so much crime due its illegality its ridiculous

just read the article...20% of police time on possession charges for cannabis - and yet police wont respond to a 999 call unless life is threatened.
how about move police time to responding to burglaries more rapidly and catching the criminals doing harm to others...as opposed to enjoying themselves.

branson speaking a lot of sense imo, of course its very hard to reduce years of prejudice against an illegal drug

implying a legalized market would entice a lot more people into smoking cannabis, which is bullshit...look at holland.

if people want to smoke weed, they will do so without a regard for the law. A legalized market will mean better product, less money going towards the black market and less kids getting hold of it.

yeah obviously, but it will still be far cheaper than street value, and also the taxation on it will pump a shit load more money into the economy

so decriminalise it... legalisation wont save the government any money because then they will have to spend it monitoring, restricting and licensing its sale. And holland is leaning more towards restricting cannabis again than making it free to everyone. Portugal is the best example of drug policy reform.

Youre forgetting the engish mentality. Mephedrones legality, for instance made a huge number of people who would never touch powder go absolutely mad on a drug that is debatebly more harmful than most class a's. Theres a reason why were called 'binge briton', youth culture incorperates excess in most areas. Having smoked and taken nearly everything under the sun for years I don't think it would be good for our society. Leave it for the continent and those who are really on it can holiday there

i'm more for a system like in california, where if you get a reccomendation from a doctor you can get a 'license' to go buy some bud from your local dispensary. The system gets abused anyway, but fuck it, at least let those who are genuinely ill and need their medicine get it legally.
