    Hi Guys,

It might sound like a noob question but can you reverse a whole piano instrument (the one built in Live 9 Library)? without doing the whole process of inputting the midi notes normally (non-reverse / how a normal piano would sound i.e.), record it in as WAV on a separate channel and just hit the reverse button on the clip?

Would love to have a quick answer guys and thank you for your contribution.

    Thanks, Much Love
    Menosance :)

what do you mean? reverse the samples so that they play backwards? reverse the melody?

to reverse the melody in midi, you select all the notes, then drag the little marker in the top right, drag it back past the beginning of the melody, and it will be reversed

reversing all the samples...hmm, cant think of a way to do that which isnt very time consuming, you need to open the instrument up, and go thru each sample to reverse it in the sampler; major job, probably not worth the effort, far simpler to input the melody, render the audio, reverse the audio, and then split the audio to midi, probably the only way to do it in a reasonable time and without going a little bit nuts lol

Reversing the samples used by the instrument, right? Pretty sure you'd have to do that manually.

Yep, I have to do it manually and splitting it up again into midi.

    Still thank you both :)

Would be a cool idea for future ableton versions though
