The new year brings welcome change for RESPECT as we close another chapter to begin anew. Thursday January 31st 2008 saw the final rinseout of our venue of over 7 years, The BEE (formerly the Martini Lounge aka The Larchmont), before moving to our new home at JIMMY'S LOUNGE on February 7th. Helping us to introduce our new venue will be Infiltrata and The Glitch Mob among many other special guests, so please join us!
The RESPECT Crew, aka Junglist Platoon, are also keeping busy with the second installment of our groundbreaking FULL MOON D&B BOAT PARTY going off Saturday February 23rd, departing from Long Beach Harbor. The first installment of this strictly 21 AND UP event along with recent buzz gives every indication that the next cruise will be just as packed...EARLY ARRIVAL IS SUGGESTED!
March 2008 will bring RESPECT's 9 Year Anniversary on a date yet to be determined, so please check back for details. Those wanting to reflect upon recent shows should check out our 2007 Photo Gallery which has been updated with galleries spanning the final quarter of last year. We have also just added two exclusive new Live Sets that are a must listen for any die-hard junglist. DJ Nookie made an unscheduled stop in Los Angeles to play our night last September and you best believe this original UK don brought the funk! We were also honored to host the man they call Digital on his 'Phoenix Rising' LP Tour last October and trust, he did not dissapoint! Much thanks go out to these and other artists that allow us to post the live recordings putting you right on our dancefloor. We are definitely grateful to all that have supported RESPECT over the years and we look forward to our new journey beginning February 7th 2008.
