This summer we've decided to take a moment to reflect and take a look back at everywhere we have been over the years and the fondest memories at the forefront of everyone's minds is our residency at The End club.

Since our last party there in 2009, we’ve found new London homes but one thing we’re consistently asked is when we will go back to The End. Believe us when we say that no one would like that more than us but until we have that time machine, it will never be possible physically.

However mentally and spiritually we can recreate the vibe through the most important element: the music!

On August 8th Plan B in Brixton will open it’s doors for a Renegade Hardware ’95-’05 special event showcasing a selection of artists that we feel were paramount in creating the sound and vibe we all loved at The End. Whether or not you were there at the time, we cordially invite you to come down and take a step back in time with us as we relive a night of classic old skool drums... the only way we know how.

Ticket bagged. Who else is going from here? I've been let down by 2 mates so will be on my own for the first time!

This was a superb night, nice venue and free parking nearby. Chilled out and friendly security at the doors, nice bar and not too crowded was also a bonus.
The sound system had moments where the volume would drop but overall it was not too bad.

The lineup was superb and the dj's were excellent. Cause 4 concern started things off and were mixing vinyl which sounded great (nice memories!) and many classics were drawn including DJ Red's classic 'Ride' which everyone was having! Punch bag also made an entrance and what a classic that is (Ed rush & Optical tune)
The set was over too quick as i had got there at 2230 and so could only catch half an hour.

Optical was brilliant and what a legend he is, the cd's were now out and he started off proceedings with the Fierce remix of 'Quadrant 6'. what an intro and trip down memory lane. Watermelon, sicknote, dozer, slip thru, Shape the future remix, detroit blues, bambaata, camouflage remix, hush hush all followed including a second coming of 'Ride' from DJ Red. A excellent set from the man

Bad company (Maldini) followed and he played classic after classic including new remixes from BC's ever so impressive discography. New remixes of The pulse and torpedo sounded immense! I ended up chatting with Audio for nearly 40 minutes so can't remember too much! Infinity & Oxygen were also rinsed and i have to say the Pulse remix is one which i hope comes out on Bad taste!

Audio was on next and tore the roof off with loads of his new bits and classics which included Mindscan, Side effects & Firewire. His new tunes sound serious and he also dropped a remix of 'Nitrous' Ouch! What a remix and i wonder who that is by!

Loxy & Ink were on next and Loxy had his record bag at the ready! Unfortunately due to issues with the decks he & Ink had to resort to using the cdj's, a shame but it was a superb set and amazing to hear old classics like Haters, Caution, Horns 2000, Phantom force, Remote control, tunes from quosimodo ep, Killer bees & Cybotron getting played. A nice breaks orientated set which reminded me of when he first set up Cylon.

Universal project were on next btb with Vicious circle and this rolled out like a steam train. Lots of their old classics including Vessel made an appearance and tunes from their UP label, sadly i had to leave 30 minutes into the set so missed out on Keaton.

Overall it was a superb night and nice to hear tunes which i had grown up with and where many of my fav dnb memories lie. Thank you Hardware and hope there are many more like this
