I recently finished my new Hip Hop track and I have put the acapella up for free download for people to use if they wanted to put it in a mix or make a remix. Toejam suggested I start a remix competition. I don't really know how to go about this but I guess the best way would be if anyone who wanted to enter to make a remix and then upload it to soundcloud etc and post it in this thread where forum mods/members can vote for their favourite. I think a dnb or dubstep remix would probly work best but its entirely up to you.

This may work or it may be a complete flop, let me know what you think of the idea and if any of you would be up for it,

Here's the original track;

Here's the acapella

Here's the acapella dry version (with no effects for people who would prefer to add their own effects to it)

Download Link's for acapella:

mp3 http://soundcloud.com/mc-sketchamus/sketchamus-the-inferno-1/download
wav. (Dry Version) http://soundcloud.com/mc-sketchamus/sketchamus-the-inferno-4/download

Once the forum has chosen a winner, I was thinking of sending it to BBC Introducing to see what they think of it if people are cool with that.

the less fx, the more versatile the accapella imo.

by less fx do you mean you would you like me to take off the reverb from the verses etc and upload that as a wav., if so then im happy to export a new wav with all the reverb etc taken off and upload it this afternoon.

yeah man... he means get the acapela as close to how it was recorded as possible, ie 'dry' (y)

sound, i thought that was what he meant, i suppose that way the person producing it can add their own effects to get it nice and crisp with their track, im uploading a wav now to soundcloud with the reverb and compressor taken off the verses, the only effect ive left on there is the multi voice on the chorus, il put a link up as soon as its uploaded, il keep both the dry wav and the other wav up for download so that people can choose whether they want to use the one with effects or the dry one and add their own effects.
I've been using the free version of Cakewalk Sonar LE that came with my mic to record all my stuff and im still a complete noob with adding effects and mastering etc, so im sure you lot will have more experience and better software to get it sounding better than i have.

Thanks again for anyone who gets involved in this, im quite excited about it all now, safe.

Is there any chance you can point me towards the violin part and the vocal sample before the vocals start? could use those in my remix

The vocal sample from dantes inferno is at the start of the acapella isn't it. I'll cut the violin part from the instrumental 2nite and get it uploaded for you 2moro, sound.
