RELAPSE is back with a celebration of Bass spectacular! We are very proud to have such a fine selection of DJ’s including Dispatch Recordings “Octane & DLR”, Audio Warfare’s label owners “Northern Lights” aka “Kitcha & Steppa”, Junglist veteran “DJ Sappo” as well as 2 of Manchester’s finest “Dom Hz” & “Al Sonar” + many more! On the mic we have the mighty Tonn Piper + many other talented emcees!
Dry Live hosts what is sure to be an epic event! Expect nothing but the finest tunes in D&B(!), Dubstep, Jungle, Future Beats and Reggae from start to finish.

OCTANE & DLR : This destructive D&B duo are a production team to be reckoned with! Having had releases on Renegade Hardware, Run DNB, Sonorous Music and Dispatch, they know how to craft monster tracks. They are known for being just as deadly behind the decks as they are in the studio! They are synonymous for their punishing, tech-infused beats and basslines and their “Method In The Madness” album is soon to be dropping on Dispatch Recordings, so they have a mammoth amount of tracks they want to showcase on the night.
NORTHERN LIGHTS : Another devastating duo in D&B, Northern Lights consists of Kitcha and Steppa and they bring the Bass weight each and every time. They have had tracks out on Congo Natty, Liquid V, SGN:LTD and their very own Audio Warfare and when it comes to making a banger, these guys have it locked! They are known for their hi-octane Jungle-infused knees up D&B sets, so make sure you’ve got the stamina as these two will keep Relapse energised from the beginning of their set to the very end!
SAPPO : Advisory Records owner DJ Sappo smashed it hard the first time he played for Relapse, so we had to book him again! This DJ/Producer has been on the scene for over 15 years and remains the only man to have a 4-hour D&B show on BBC1Xtra. He has sold over 250,000 records on his Advisory Records label and has had releases on labels such as V Records, Formation, Frontline, World Dance, Emotive + many more! On the night Sappo will be playing a mixture of D&B and Jungle to keep Relapse on its toes.
DOM HZ B2B AL SONAR : Having torn apart the last Relapse event, we had to have Dom Hz back, but this time we have brought one of Manchester’s finest D&B DJ’s, Al Sonar to go back to back with him. Al Sonar never fails to disappoint with his intelligent selection and impressive mixing ability. These two are both members of Joe Kalius, one of Manchester’s most talented collectives and Relapse proudly presents them in a rare B2B appearance. These two will be playing a mixture of Dubstep, Drum & Bass and Jungle, so watch out for something special from these two Bass enthusiasts.
SUB:CONSCIOUS : Relapse’s head honcho is known for his quick paced mixes and energetic sets. From Tech to Jump-Up to Liquid and most places in between, Sub:Conscious enjoys to explore the spectrum of D&B whilst DJ’ing. Throughout Summer, he has taken time away from the decks to concentrate more on his own productions which vary from Minimal to harder Tech-infused tracks, keep an eye out for some of those dropping towards the end of 2012. Some exclusive never-heard-before tracks will be showcased on the night for all Relapse ravers, so be prepared for something special!
DANNY INTRO : This DJ is exactly that, a DJ! Staying away from productions so he can hone his own unique style behind the decks is something that is abundantly clear when listening to this man in the mix. As well as DJ’ing, he runs RippeR, which is one of Manchester’s fasting up-and-coming D&B nights and has just been made a Just Skank resident. Known for his unrelenting D&B assaults Danny Intro steps up each and every time and we welcome him back with open arms for what is sure to be a destructive set.
SEMIOTIX : One of the founding members of Relapse, this bad man producer has done what many don’t and has bided his time before unleashing his sets on the world! For his debut Relapse set, Semiotix is sure to bring a healthy mix of tech-infused weight and minimal vibes! In terms of his productions, his songs show signs of intellect and a deep understanding of beats. As well as programming drums, he is also known for getting behind a kit, so watch out for a live performance coming in 2013! In the mean time, make sure you catch this deadly debut!
TONN PIPER : It has been over a year since Tonn Piper graced the mic at a Relapse night and we cannot wait to have him back. One of the biggest emcees in the world of Drum & Bass, Tonn never fails to stir the rave into a frenzy with his mix of infectious catchy lyrics and double time bars.
GNI : One of Manchester’s most underrated emcees, Gni never fails to get the rave pumped with his on-point well delivered lyrics. Having firmly established himself in the underground of Manchester and the North West, Gni is definitely one to look out for.
EDDIE P & FRISKO : This destructive duo have been tearing up the North West rave scene for well over half a decade! Continually striving to better themselves, they are now firmly established as one of the best duos in Don’t Flop showing they can hype any crowd with their comical on-point bars. Whether it is D&B, Dubstep or Hip Hop, these emcees will enhance any beat with their energetic flow.
MC PM : Making a name for himself hosting raves up and down the country, this emcee is a DJ favourite as he knows when to chat bars and when to let the music do the talking. Whether it is tech, minimal or liquid, MC PM will enhance the rave without fail.
CHEGGA B : One of the most improved emcees in the Manchester Drum & Bass scene, Chegga B is a firm Relapse favourite because of his passionate style. With plenty of energy Chegga B gets the rave buzzing every time.
