Reggae Piano/Guitar snare

Can anyone help me.........
in reggae when the snare has got like a piano-y/guitar like stab over it

any ideas how to make this sound???

im using Logic and use Massive for most my shit.

I used to have a plugin called ravity. In there you have a lot of piano and guitar plugins. Just find a nice sounding rode, piano, guitar,... or layer them. And add some fx like reeverb and a bit delay. and don't play your note too long. That's the way i do it

You're looking for an actual guitar sample, not a snare mate.

ye thats what i mean mate, they have a snare like hit, then a piano/guitar stab over that, was just wondering how to make it,

You can buy a dub compilation for 2€ and sample off that, most tunes have a guitar hit alone at some point. Will give you WAY better results than synthesis.

samplings a good idea. dnbwiki has a good dub sample pack with plenty of those hits if you cant be arsed to sample a record. try using a guitar and an organ and remember you could always just record a guitar
